BFC Media S.p.A is an Italian multimedia group specializing in providing financial information and products for small investors. BFC Media was founded in 1995 by Denis Masetti, who served as its chairman until July 27, 2023. Since December 2021, control of the group (51 percent) has passed to Danilo Iervolino, who also owns the Salernitana soccer team.

2024

For the year 2024, the sale of L’Espresso Media to the Ludoil Energy Group of the Ammaturo family, which acquires 51 percent, is finalized in December 2023; at the same time, Alga S.r.l. of the Ammaturo Group sells 24.3 percent of BFC Media S.p.A. to IDI S.r.l., a company owned by Danilo Iervolino. “The transactions are part of a process of rationalization, focus and development of the holdings of the two publishing groups.”

2023

June 2023 sees the launch of “I 1,000 vini d’Italia,” L’Espresso’s new wine guide, and with it the Le Guide de L’Espresso website and social channels. On July 8, 2023, the complex of company assets, functional to the “Bike” brand, is sold to Tiscali Italia Spa. From September 15, L’Espresso ceases to be published in conjunction with La Repubblica and goes on newsstands alone on Saturdays. The new L’Espresso website is launched.

2022

In April 2022, the transfer of 51 percent of the share capital from JD Farrods to IDI srl, owned by Danilo Iervolino, is finalized. On July 1, 2022 acquires from the GEDI group the ownership of L’ESPRESSO, The weekly magazine founded by Arrigo Benedetti and Eugenio Scalfari. Together with the setttimanale, LE GUIDE DE L’ESPRESSO is acquired. The transaction took place through the newco L’Espresso Media Srl, 51 percent controlled by BFC Media and 49 percent by Danilo Iervolino’s IDI, which was formed for the occasion in recent months and had already signed the preliminary contract on May 5. The relaunch project, led by CEO Elio Pariota, includes the consolidation and development of the weekly, accompanied by a strong multimedia push through new technologies.

2021

In October 2021, BFC Media presented, under an agreement with the PMC Group – Penske Media Corporation, the multimedia project of the Italian edition of ROBB REPORT, the world’s leading Luxury and Lifestyle brand.

2020

In May 2020, BFC Media launched the BIKE Smart Mobility brand project.
In May is presented EQUOS, a new project to the world of horse racing.

2019

In June 2019, launches the new BFC TV 100% Business News, broadcasting H24 on the OTT platforms of Bfcvideo.com and on satellite at SKY channel 511 and TiVùSat channel 61.

In July 2019 it acquires 50.01% of the publishing house Gruppo B Editore with the aim of developing a new vertical business line related to the New Space Economy.

In September 2019, launches the new BFC media brand that groups the group’s operating divisions. In October it launches the first volume of the monthly Cosmo, published under the subsidiary BFCspace.

Also during the second half of 2019, BFC media launched the first productions of BFC voice podcasts, with an audio production studio in the Milan office.

Also launched at the Trading Online Expo is BFC Education, the new division focused on advanced financial education.

2018

In 2018 it acquires FinanzaOperativa.com and founds BlueAcademy.

2018 also saw the launch of Asset Class monthly, a new magazine edited by Andrea Giacobino that chronicles the world of Italian and international asset management.

2017

In 2017 he obtained the rights to publish the Italian version of Forbes.

2016

May 2016 saw the birth of iFinance, a monthly magazine dedicated to the world of technofinance and digital business, and in July the London-based subsidiary iFinance Media Ltd. was founded, focusing on industry developments.

Also in 2016, a majority stake is acquired in Spring Eventi Srl (now Investment & Trading Events Srl), organizer of ITForum in Rimini, an event dedicated to online trading and asset management.

2015

November 2015 sees the birth of Private, a monthly magazine dedicated to private banking.

Friday, December 11, 2015 Blue Financial Communication S.p.A. is admitted to AIM Italia – Alternative Capital Market of the Italian Stock Exchange under the symbol BLUE

Bluerating advisory and asset management is the monthly magazine launched in 2013, sent to financial advisor agencies in Italy and major bank branches, as well as distributed on newsstands and at industry events.

2009

2009 saw the birth of Soldi, a personal business weekly that was distributed to newsstands nationwide until 2013, then replaced by soldiweb.com.

It was in 2003 that the creation and launch of the monthly magazine Advisor dedicated to the world of financial advisors and managers, which was then sold at the end of 2010 to the publishing house Open Financial Communication
